How high can we go!

THURSDAY......towards the end of the day, one of our friends "kidnapped" us for the evening! Fady picked us up and wanted to take us somewhere we haven't been yet. So after fighting through the traffic, we ended up in Jounieh Bay. This is a city right outside of Beirut. We had no clue where we were going, but when we arrived in the city, Fady said, "look up!" We looked up and he said, "this is where I am taking you!" I was like "oh my gosh." Basically, he was taking us up this mtn, but we were not driving. We were parking down at the bottom and taking a chair lift type thing up. It was an enclosed car that you ride up this LOOOONNNG zip line. The line went in between buildings, over the major highway, and up this steep mtn. I was very excited, but it was a long zip line! So, all four of us got into this car and up the mtn we went. After we got to what I thought was the top....we got out of the car and Fady said, "okay lets go, we will go up higher." So, we got into this elevator car that took us even further up the mtn. We were finally at the top of this mtn., but then we climbed up the steps of the "Lady of Lebanon" statue to have a better view! It was an absolutely beautiful view of the sea & the city of Jounieh. You could also see Beirut in the distance. It was very nice because we were at the top of the mtn during sunset. I will be posting some pictures later. We spent a little bit of time walking around and enjoying the view of God's wonderful creation! It was a very fun mini-trip.
